At New York City FC, we are on a mission to build this city into one of the soccer capitals of the world. The Club was announced as Major League Soccer’s 20th franchise and is the first and only MLS team located within the five boroughs of New York City.
New York City FC is building New York City’s first-ever soccer-specific stadium, Etihad Park, which is set to open in 2027.
The FC Made in NYC
New York City FC is the first and only MLS Club within the five boroughs.
Built by New York City, shaped by its people, and committed to its future, the Club has left its mark on MLS since debuting in 2015.
It has lifted major trophies, including the MLS Cup and Campeones Cup, while developing players who have represented their countries on the world’s biggest stage, including at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Elsewhere, the Club's impact reaches far beyond the pitch. Through City in the Community, the Club creates opportunities for young New Yorkers, while more than 50 mini-pitches across the five boroughs are helping make the game more accessible to communities across the city.
Now, as it prepares to move into Etihad Park, New York City FC is bringing its ambition, energy and unmistakeable identity to Queens, proving once again that this is the FC Made in NYC.
